NC laser

Laser cutting is a very demanding procedure. Laser cut is very fine. All mechanical weaknesses can be seen on the cut surface.

Linear guideways are chosen according to travel smoothness. Gearboxes and racks must have minimum backlash. Motion movement must be smooth. High quality motors and feedback systems combined with fine interpolation NC must be used to achieve smooth circles and arcs.

High quality systems use special NC controllers with interpolation rates >1000/sec. This is done via various fieldbuses. Servo drives must be fine tuned to decrease oscillations.
